Pedal into the heart of Angkor on this intimate, small-group cycling adventure designed for travellers who want to see the temples from a fresh, crowd-free perspective. With a maximum of just eight guests and an expert cycling guide leading the way, this full-day, 30 km ride blends quiet countryside tracks, forest trails, and the most iconic temples of the Khmer Empire into one unforgettable experience.
Meet your guide at Gingold Coffee at 7:15 AM and gear up with a quality mountain bike and helmet. The tour is suitable for active families, and we provide children’s bikes, baby seats, and tag-along trailers on request. At 7:30 AM, begin cycling along a peaceful road beside the Siem Reap River as you make your way toward the Angkor Archaeological Park.
Your first stop is the legendary Angkor Wat, where the towers rise through the morning light. After exploring its vast galleries and bas-reliefs, continue cycling toward the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Just past the gate, you leave the main road and slip onto secluded forest paths that few visitors see. Ride beneath soaring trees and hidden ruins as you approach Bayon, famous for its serene stone faces, and the Elephant Terrace, where we take a well-deserved lunch break.
Guests who selected the “with lunch” option enjoy a tasty local meal arranged in advance.
Guests without lunch included have free time to explore or eat independently before regrouping.
In the afternoon, continue through peaceful jungle corridors to Ta Prohm, the atmospheric temple wrapped in twisting tree roots and moss-covered stones. Your guide shares the history, stories, and symbolism of each site, bringing depth and colour to every stop. From here, follow red-earth tracks and village paths as you make your way back toward town. This final stretch is relaxed, scenic, and a favourite for many guests as it passes through rural communities and quiet stretches of forest.
Expect to return to Siem Reap in the mid-afternoon, comfortably tired and with a genuine appreciation for Angkor’s landscapes, history, and everyday life along the way.
Cancellation: There is no charge if any cancelation made 24 hours before the travel date.
