TOUR ITINERARY
Start Time: 8:30 am – End Time: 3:30 pm
Meeting Time: 8:15 am
Chiang Mai Discova Day Tour Shop
Meet at the Chiang Mai Discova Day Tour Shop at 8:15 for a 8:30 am departure. Please look for a greenery co-working space " Punspace" - our office will be located in front of it. After a quick bike fitting and briefing we pedal out of town on lightly used roads.
Doi Kham
Our ride starts with a ride through a Royal Agricultural project that aims to improve crop yields for northern farmers. We then have a hill to contend with, but where the e-bikes make the whole thing a breeze and then you can enjoy a little downhill coming into the valley.
Cycle across the Countryside
We ride through a lush valley with small villages, then into farmland that is varied in topography and in produce. Fruit trees are the mainstay, but there is rice and vegetables grown also. There are some artists retreats tucked away here and there, and people out here are very friendly.
Ob Khan National Park
We don’t enter the park, but instead skirt around it where we ride under the shade of broad teak leaves and pass some quite remote villages where chickens will be wandering around and the locals will cheer you on in your efforts. A stop at a small, roadside café is a nice place to enjoy a cold juice or coconut and some local snacks.
Rajapruek Royal Gardens
As we ride back towards town, we encounter a large, manicured garden known as Rajapruek Royal Gardens. These are stunning botanical gardens featuring an impressive Royal Pavillion. We can take a wander here and enjoy a cool drink before we transfer back to Chiang Mai by van.
