Trishaw in Penang is an open-fronted three wheeled pedal-powered trishaws. We start by taking an unhurried stroll on a trishaw around Georgetown through narrow lanes offering a closer view of historical sites such as Kapitan Keling Mosque, St George’s Church, Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Star Publication House and Kuan Yin Teng Temple. 

The nostalgic feeling sitting on top of the trishaw indeed an unforgettable experience. Trishaw sadly has become a legacy as the numbers are slowly declining due to the rising living standards. This shoestring earnings of trishaw are on a one-way road to a natural demise as most trishaw-men are well past their prime. While some trishaws are still around, try them out and take a ride down memory lane before it fades away. 

After as light stroll, we stop at a hawker centre offering all of Penang’s famous fares. You will not only find the best local food of Penang but also international fares to cater to the discerning taste buds. Varieties of food as such as Wantan Mee, Satay, Nasi Lemak, Indian Cuisine, Hokkien Mee, Curry Mee, Chicken Rice, Char Kway Teow and other international dishes, you will be spoiled for choices.
