Meet at Areiksart Ferry Port at 7:45am with your camera, sunscreen, and comfortable clothing. After a brief safety introduction and bike fitting, begin your cycling adventure from the ferry departure point and cross the river toward the scenic north of Phnom Penh and the Silk Islands. Upon arriving on the island, cycle through orchards and market gardens while taking in the peaceful rural scenery and local way of life. Stop at a fresh market to see residents selling a colourful variety of vegetables, meat, fish, and fruit, and enjoy a closer look at everyday life in the community.
After visiting the fresh market, continue cycling to a Buddhist monastery on the island. There, learn about monastic life, Buddhist practices, and the spiritual traditions that remain an important part of the local community. Continue to a local family-run workshop that produces tofu skin, also known as yuba or dried bean curd. Learn how this traditional food is made from the delicate layer that forms on heated soy milk and discover how this family business has been passed down through generations.
End the tour with a memorable visit to a local family that has preserved the art of silk weaving for generations. Discover each stage of this fascinating craft—from raising silkworms and collecting the silk to spinning, dyeing, and weaving it into beautiful, finished products. Return by ferry to the mainland, arriving back at the same point where the tour began. From there, guests can make their own onward travel arrangements back to Phnom Penh.
Cancellation: There is no charge if any cancelation made 24 hours before the travel date.
